I bought this as my first rangefinder, and while this seems to be a product type that you get what you pay for, this particular unit seems to be a great value. I have been able to quickly and easily estimate ranges from 10 yards to 500 yards, and comparing to other rangefinders or pacing off the distance showed me that this unit is pretty much spot on. I am very glad I bought this. The cool digital camo on it looks kind of neat too.

This was the cheapest range finder I could find. I needed something for hunting as well as target practice out in the desert. This thing works amazingly well for the price. It doesnt have all the bells and whistles of the other ones but I just wanted accurate yard/meter readings and that it does well. I verified the accuracy at the shooting range. Pointed at the 100y black metal target and instantly read 100y. Its very fast to. I didnt have to wait to get a read. Highly recommended if you just want to know how far stuff is without breaking the bank. Plus the camo pattern looks amazing.

I am really enjoying this rangefinder. It is accurate, the digital camo pattern is very nice, and you simply can't beat the price. My husband has a big-name rangefinder and we have used them standing side-by-side and aiming at the same object. My LRF-600 gives the same distance reading every time.
The only thing that would have made this purchase better is the inclusion of a lanyard for the rangefinder. Not a huge deal ... I had one that wasn't being used. The unit does have a place to add the lanyard. I also picked up a nice nylon camo case at the local sporting goods store for $3 on clearance. Considering the low price on this Simmons, you really can't expect a case too.
Would make this purchase all over again.
