The Viridan green laser for the Walther P22 is a decent piece of equipment that works better than the Walther brand laser. This model is made specifically for the P22 and is styled to match the pistol very nicely. The green laser is also brighter and much easier to see than any red laser I have used, however it is still not bright enough to be used effectively in full sunlight. The Viridan laser uses a spring loaded peg that fits into the grove on the P22's rail to allow for quick mounting and dismounting without tools. Unlike most other lasers that attach the same way, this one's spring is rather strong, and the peg is sized perfectly so the unit does not wobble when mounted. The main draw backs to this laser are its battery and its method of activation. It uses an expensive camera battery, and a soft switch for activation. Soft switches are nice but their main draw back is that they do not actually turn a unit off like a mechanical switch will. A soft switch does not break an electrical circuit, but rather tells a micro processor to go into a low power standby mode. The switch still continues to draw a minimal amount of power so that when pressed it will be able to tell the processor to bring the unit to full power. The result is a continuous parasitic drain to the battery, which can completely deplete the battery after a few months in storage.
Overall, this is a good product, but you should remove the battery before storing the laser and keep a few extra on hand just in case.

Viridian lasers are great, but big. For the Walthers (this fits the P22 AND the PK380)though, it's either that or the cheap Walther brand red lasers, hands down the Viridian is the better choice

This sight was a fantastic edition to my Walther. It really holds your attention and is clear as day and the ability to add multiple pulsing effects is a great perk as well. The sight is light enough that it's great for concealment but heavy enough to make the gun more "comfortable" if you are used to shooting higher caliber handguns. My only wish is that it fit in the P22 case better. Walther allowed a part of the protective foam to be removed for a laser but the part that protrudes from the sight doesn't fit inside the package so it has to be stored separately or you can take an Exacto knife and cut a small hole space for it. I did it to mine and it looks great.
