I only gave this laser 3 stars because it's not really bright enough for day time use like the advertisement says. I would be giving it 5 stars if it were not for that since it is the brightest laser I've used. Beamshot makes a quality product and this particular model is extremely rugged for it's size and weight. All in all I have no complaints about this laser and would recommend it to anyone looking for a laser to be used in low light situations. It might be a little heavy for a pistol but that depends on your expectations. On a rifle I don't notice it being there on an AK-47 Draco pistol or on a SKS. Oh, and the battery seems to last forever.

This sight is very well built, and super bright. It gets wonderful battery life. The rubber sleeve is a nice feature, and it comes with a nice case. It is easily, and well adjustable. Very durable switch and pressure pad.
I did notice after getting wet and drying, the laser dot was not as "clean" around its periphery. The "spray" it showed improved after cleaning the glass with a q-tip, but this change was not completely resolved. I am unaware if water got in to the laser, but if it did it did not affect the laser in any other way.

I recently purchased this laser after much time and research for a 5.56/223 rifle. I didn't want to go cheap as you really do get what you pay for, especially when it comes to any items related to firearms. I recently read the 1 star review and fortunately have not had any of those problems. I have, however shot 680 rounds (exactly) through my rifle with the laser attached and have had no problems and it has stayed exactly on target. I shot 400 in one afternoon and It has not moved at all. When it came in the mail it was packaged nicely and came in a solid plastic case. It also came with a nice rubber sleeve which I thought was a nice addition while having a very solid built feel. It does go scary far at night and you can see the entire beam from your rifle. Kinda cool but it could potentially lead your target back to you. Like most lasers it doesn't work so great in the day but I guess none really do. Does great in late afternoon/low light situations. I will update if there are any problems or it continues to function properly either way. I hope this review helps.
