Laserlyte Side Mount Laser for Ruger LCP

Product Description

LaserLyte answers the growing demand for lasers specific to the increasingly popular conceal carry market with the Ruger LCP Side Mount Laser (CK-AMF). At half the cost of a leading competitor, the CK-AMF fits on the side of the Ruger LCP and the Kel-Tec .380 and .32. Easy to mount on the gun by simply pushing out and replacing the stock pins with the new screws (included). Then push the ergonomic activation button with the index finger and the laser is on target. The CK-AMF design works also as a finger guide that allows for safe trigger control without blocking the laser beam. The LaserLyte Ruger LCP Side Mount Laser is compact and light, and foremost - deadly.

5Laserlye side mount laser for Ruger LCP
By DRG
Let me start by saying I am not affiliated with any selling agent, company, or brand name being discussed in this review. I don't generally write reiews unless I am extremely happy with the product. First, I purchased through Amazon by Outdoor Bunker, was not a Prime purchase, I received the item 2 days after ordering anyway--GREAT JOB to all!!!!! The Laserlyte side mount laser--like most products, I tried to do a fair amount of research before purchasing. This is a great laser, well made, AFFORDABLE for me, not sure what some of the reviews concerning loose battery compartments or a "bulky" feeling with the laser are about. This is the same quality of any Laserlyte product, it just happens to be on the right side of the pistol....so it is not any more "bulky" or heavy than any front mounted laser. Yes, it sticks out very slightly on the right side, but not significantly at all. Quality is very good, laser can be started in pulse mode beam or straight beam when tuning laser on, nice feature--beam is not at all in the way of your hands/fingers and the laser body actually guides your hand in a comfortable position on a small gripped pistol. Other reviews discussed low light visibility issues, this is a bright laser, I covered the laser with my finger and the laser was bright enought to make my finger "glow", so, the brightness is as good or better than any laser--its a laser folks, if you point it at a very light background on a very bright day at a long distance (which this pistol is not really intended for anyay) then yes, I suppose there might be some diminished brightness--just like any laser. I have not had anyissues with brightness--the pulse does help with quicker detection in very bright outdoor light situations as well. The on button is easy to find quickly. About the FOBUS paddle holster, I have one, I would have to say that any cutting or modification in my estimation would have to be significant to fit with the addition of he Laserlyte to the Ruger LCP. I did semi-fix that by taking the tension screw completely out of the holster, the pistol CAN actually fit very snugly, but some pressure from the holster would be pressing on the area of the on/off switch on the laser--the issue would'nt be that the laser might turn on (it would'nt), but rather, there is a fair amount of pressure on the laser body near the on/off switch when in the holster in that circumstance. There are plenty of inexpensive, quality, in the pants or other type of holsters out there--I purchased an inexpensive, soft in the pants holster that works great. I will probably keep the FOBUS as they are good holsters, but thought the FOBUS holster for the LCP had a pretty big signature anyway, so that is really not an issue at all for me. Any soft holster would be fine with this laser. Oh yeah, none of the research I saw identified this, but Laserlyte sends 4 extra batteries (laser takes 2 at a time) with the laser, so probably no need to initially purchase more batteries like I did. Overall this is a very good product, it is easy to install (I installed in about 1 minute, seriously)is adjustable, is bright, is accurate, is easy to use, is affordable, I would purchase again. Hope this review is helpful.

5Very cool and works like a charm
By striker308
Installed this on my P3AT and it took literally 4 minutes not including opening the packaging.
I only had to make a small adjustment in zeroing, so far 100rnds and no problems.
I found that in the bright lights at the indoor rang that you have to switch to the pulse option to see the dot on a lighter colored target at 50 feet. This is a competition range not what this was designed for but at ranges under 50 feet I had no problems seeing the steady dot even in sunlight.
It's almost too bright in low light situations such as a dark hallway or parking garage.
All-in-All.......... Five stars! I even bought a second one for my wife's P3AT.

5Ignore 1* reviews

My freetime is often spent on the computer watching hickok45, nutnfancy, sootch, etc. I want to KNOW that my equipment will be stellar, and I want to know I can get it for the right price. That being said, if you do a google shopping search for LCP laser, you can find this laser and have it at your door for $60 as I did. *$60!!!*

The laser works well, better than I expected because they're cheaper. I got this laser because I carry the ruger LCP in a fobus holster, or an ankle holster. I haven't made adjustments yet but I think I'll have to take a dremel to fit the laser in. I haven't used it extensively because my carry gun is just that. Some people talk about it breaking after shooting, I broke in my lcp, got comfortable with it, added my laser, sighted it in, and I probably won't shoot it again unless it's in a defensive situation. So I'm not worried about repeated use breaking it because I hope I don't have to use it.

***Lastly, look at the 1 star reviews. Isn't it funny that ALL of the 1 star reviews aren't verified amazon purchases?? And all the 5 stars ARE verified purchases. I think there's some company sabotage going on from crimson trace or something. Crimson trace is great but I'd rather have this and some more ammo.

Hope this helped someone. Comment/rate :)
