I purchased this not expecting too much considering the price in comparison to the other laser designators, but I thought it would at least perform up to half of the claims in the description.
This thing is junk. It will provide a noticeable light at about 50 yards but even at that distance it is not adequate to see anything more than a light green tint like a Christmas light might shine. Even if something moved through that light you would be lucky to identify it.
I marked off the distance so I am not exaggerating the 50 yards. It does provide a noticeable green light in a dark house but in the field it's useless. I can see it being useful in providing a light in an urban environment where a bright light might not be suitable. To use out in an open field to hunt coyote, forget about it.
I am not sure how well the more expensive brands work but this is absolutely useless. It's basically an overpriced flashlight with a green bulb. Don't waste your money.

For the money this is a real good deal! Range is about 75 yards and under.. work best in total darkness.I also own the ND-3 subzero
So if you need more than the 75yds go with the ND-3

This is a unique product I see very useful for both hunting and law enforcement applications. The only room for improvement would be a w/e adjustment, but I'm on the look out for a mount that will do that. I have my adjustable beam set to slightly larger than the scope view for optimal performance. Be sure to check with your local laws before using.
