1I hate to give it one star!
By mike
I received the first one on Jan.4- five days late it wasn't working properly so I sent it by for a replacement which arrive Jan.10. Today is the 16th of Jan. and I will sent it back to because it has started ot malfunction also. The laser light will not turn on sometimes and then other times it will not turn off. LASERLYTE HAS SOME REAL SERIOUS QUALITY PROBLEMS. Save all your packaging and return papers.

I would give it a lower rating if that was possible.

5Laserlyte Laser Trainer - Excellent Product and Technical Support
By Elmer L. Wilhite
I received the Laserlyte laser training target and .380 ACP training cartridge for Christmas. Initially, although the target worked well (using the Crimson Trace laser sight on my Ruger LCP), the training cartridge did not. I called Laserlyte and, upon describing the problem, was told that the switch at the end of the cartridge was probably defective. The Laserlyte lady, who was very pleasant and professional, recommended that they send me a replacement immediately, with a request to send the defective switch back.

They sent the new switch via UPS 2nd day air. I received it today and it works great! Laserlyte included a postage-paid envelope for me to return the defective switch.

After trying the target out a few times, I believe it to be an excellent product that should help me hone my trigger control.

LaserLyte's customer service is awesome!

5a great training tool
By JT
This cartridge works great, the laser on mine is accurate, and there is nothing external to interfere with your draw and holstering. It will let you know fast if you are pulling off as you shoot, I'm a fair shot with a handgun, but I was surprised to see how much I moved as the hammer was about to drop.

No one should carry a gun unless they train with it, and proper training can get expensive quick, I'm nearly fifty years old and have been hunting and target shooting all my life. I will now start carrying a concealed handgun and found that getting a weapon out of concealment and on target quickly and reliably is going to require practice. This will allow me to practice draw and fire in the privacy of my own home, and should pay for it self rather soon.

OK, it's a bit too long for the chamber and must be tilted to insert into the barrel, that's not much of a problem. Mine arrived with dead batteries, but had a spare set included, I got over that quick once I started using it. It has nothing external to indicate the gun isn't loaded with live ammo, I guess that could put you in a bad situation if you don't practice in a safe manor. Nothing is perfect, I would give it a 9 out of 10.

I also got the Laser Trainer Target and like it, The light from the cartridge stays on long enough to show movement but the target will log where the light first hit, I think it helps a lot but it's not a must have.
